We have chronicled many of the exploits of guitarist Joshua Lee Turner, who has supported Vanguard for quite awhile. His latest cover video is a collaboration with Mary Spender. Josh is the proud owner of a V44S gen2 Stereo FET Condenser and a Vanguard V13 Tube Condenser.

Josh has never been one to shy away from covering classic songs, and this video is no exception. Dire Straits’ “Sultans of Swing” is one of their most iconic numbers.

Josh chose to use his V13 on Mary’s vocals, as the V13 excels on the female voice…particularly altos! Mary makes the V13 sound like melted butter on a stack of pancakes.
