Vanguard evangelist Chris Diener fired us this shot from Kelsea Ballerini’s “Patterns” tour, taken by photographer Catherine Powell.

Our V44S gen2 Stereo FET Condenser was the previous drum overhead mic on Kelsea’s tour, but the stand and mic position were interfering with the crowd view of the video wall. Chris asked about a potential side-on spaced-pair replacement, and we decided to try the V4 gen2. (for those who don’t know – the V4 is just half of a V44S! They share the same circuit and capsule.) Chris loves the sound and they replaced the other boutique condensers that were riding temporary duty there.
