Another day, another review for the Vanguard V44S gen2 Stereo FET Condenser! The discerning Sam Inglis of SoundOnSound magazine took the V44S for a few spins and wrote his thoughts in their September 2022 Issue.

“I set it up, and before the first day was out, I was a confirmed fan…I was very taken with the V44S [as a drum overhead]: it produced
a seriously chunky sound with lots of midrange heft, and a low end that was weighty without being exaggerated.”

You can read the full review here. One important thing to note: Sam mentions he’s missing a manual in his V44S gen2. This mic had already been used by another couple reviewers before going directly from them to Sam, and it seems that one of them failed to put the manual back into the box.
