James Ivey of pro-tools-expert.com used a Vanguard V4, Vanguard V1S+LOLLI, and Vanguard V44S microphones on his newest article for their Production Expert series. His goal? To get an epic-sounding string section using only 6 channels, an old church’s beautiful acoustics, and four string players.
