Steve Genewick is a thrice-Grammy-nominated engineer. His twenty-five years worth of credits is chock-full of platinum artists including Diana Krall, Natalie Cole, Barry Manilow, Earth Wind & Fire, Whitney Houston, George Harrison, and many, many, MANY more.

I had the luck of running into Steve through a mutual friend, and Steve, being a fellow gearhead, wanted to put our microphones through their paces. He matched the Vanguard V44S stereo microphone head-to-head against a vintage AKG C24 during a Capitol Records session, and immediately noted that the V44S maintained a superior stereo image and sounded incredible. He used the V44S to track hammered dulcimer, French horns, and acoustic guitar.
