Ken Caillat is an American record producer and engineer based in Westlake Village, California. While most well-known for his work on the iconic Fleetwood Mac albums Rumours, Mirage, Tusk, and Live, his discography reads like a time-lapse  of respected artists. Michael Jackson, Joni Mitchell, Paul McCartney, Lionel Richie, The Beach Boys…the list goes on! His most recent projects are his daughter Colbie Caillat’s studio albums.

After trying one Vanguard V13 Tube Condenser Microphone in a shootout where it promptly beat a vintage U47 and tied with a vintage CMV563, Ken called us back and grabbed another V13 to complete the stereo pair that currently lives above his Yamaha C7 piano. We’re honored to be on the front line of Ken’s microphone locker!

Ken is putting the finishing touches on his new Dolby Atmos studio in Westlake Village, California. He also put out a book about the making of Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours which you can grab at any book retailer.
