Hernan Hecht is the owner of HHStudio, located in Mexico City. He was awarded the Latin Grammy Award (2010) for the production and recording of the album by Ely Guerra, Hombre Invisible; has 3 nominations for Latin Grammy’s for the Unplugged MTV by Pepe Aguilar (2016); has 5 Latin Grammy nominations for the album by David Aguilar (2018); and was nominated for Best Jazz Album at the Fryderyk Award in Poland with Adam Pieronczyk and his album Montalvan (2017).
His mastery of the instrument, conceptual eclecticism, and breadth, has allowed him to play with artists as diverse as John Medeski, Billy Martin, Steven Bernstein, Cyro Baptista, Bill Carrothers, Jonathan Kreisberg, Mike Moreno, Tim Berne, David Gilmore, and many more.
In his intense activity as a sideman and his work as the transferor, joins his teaching of private lessons and master classes throughout the Americas, while maintaining as a cornerstone of many projects such as A Love Electric, Drop Dogs, ASH Trio, Aarón Flores LOTO Trio, MOLE, Brainkiller, SHO Trio, Brian Allen | | Hernan Hecht Duo, RHA trio, Ambient Assault, Jade Skull, Bill Carrothers, Nicolas Santella Trio, The Swing Machine, in addition to leading his own projects “Hernan Hecht X-Pression Quartet” and “HH GruB Project”
He has recorded and produced over 350 Albums, music for films, documentaries, and jingles in Mexico, the USA, and Europe.
