Presented annually by The NAMM Foundation at The NAMM Show, the TEC Awards recognizes the individuals, companies and technical innovations behind the sound of recordings, live performances, films, television, video games and multi-media. Award categories span 23 Technical Achievement and 8 Creative Achievement Categories.

Now in its 35th year, the Awards are widely recognized as the highest honor dedicated to the pro audio and sound recording industry. It’s where the most outstanding products in the worlds of music making, live performances, video games, television and films are recognized. Eligible nominees are those projects or products that, in the opinion of the Nominating Panel, represent superior accomplishment in their respective fields.

The 35th Annual NAMM TEC Awards will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020, in the Hilton Pacific Ballroom, Anaheim, California. The event is part of The NAMM Show, January 16 – 19, 2020.

We’re not sure what pushed the V1S+LOLLI into TEC Award consideration. Maybe it was the awesome VSSM shockmount and its use of jet engine O-Rings. Maybe it was the selection of 10 custom-voiced capsules, including the LOLLI large-diaphragm multi-pattern capsule. Or maybe it’s just that it’s an actually original piece of recording gear.
