I love to keep up with the goings-on of the thousands of Vanguard microphones that are being used all over the world to make music. It’s incredibly rewarding to hear the end results of the tools we make in the hands of talented artists!
To that end, Vanguard artist Brian Ward recently released another wonderful all-piano record The House On The Hill. Recorded over the course of 2 days, The Vanguard V13 was instrumental (pun!) in making the record, along with a Royer ribbon mic for good measure. From Brian:
“[The V13] facilitated my piano album having all the character it does.”
The whole album is wonderfully warm and organic. The gentle clicks of the piano mechanicals can be heard behind Brian’s harmonically rich, yet relaxing and listenable, tracks.
Without further digital ink-spilling, take a listen to one of my favorite tracks from the record, “Daydreaming”:
Take a listen to the full record – we recommend Bandcamp as it is the most profitable digital avenue for artists.
Don’t forget that you can grab a V13 from one of our fine worldwide dealers or via our webstore!
