MIX magazine contributing editor Rob Tavaglione had nothing but praise for the V13 in his review for MIX. Says Rob at the outset,

“I’ll admit out front that I’ve long been an admirer of Vanguard Audio Labs and (its) microphones.”

Over the course of the review Rob auditions the V13 on a wide range of instruments, including solo flute, noting its strengths and “fantastic” sound on nearly everything he tested with.

“The V13 [gen2] is simply a fantastic mic with smart design, quality construction, nearly limitless versatility, and  balanced tone that seems to slightly flatter just about any source…it might soon be your favorite vocal mic, bar none.”
