Vanguard Audio Labs Launches gen2 of the V4 FET and V44S Stereo FET Microphones

We at Vanguard Audio Labs are thrilled to unveil the next generation of the widely acclaimed V4 large-diaphragm and V44S stereo dual-capsule large diaphragm condenser microphones. The gen2 Vanguard V4 and V44S have been lovingly re-imagined by the Vanguard design team over the last twelve months.

Intended for use in the most demanding recording studio applications, both the V4 and V44S are multi-pattern FET microphones that, while designed with certain characteristics of classic FET microphones in mind, also utilize modern technology and design to meet the needs of today’s recording professionals.

The V4 gen2 Multi Pattern Fet Condenser

Nearly all of the key, cryogenically-treated signal-path components have been upgraded to the highest caliber, sourced from parts manufacturers in Canada, USA, Germany, and Japan. These upgrades have netted a lower signal-to-noise ratio and vastly improved sound staging. In addition, physical design upgrades were made in several areas, like Neutrik® interconnects throughout, and a redesigned rock-solid rotating mechanism for our V44S dual-capsule stereo mic. This mechanism allows the user to precisely set the angle of the two capsules, and the rotation range has been increased from 90° to 120º.  We even improved the fit and finish of the final product, so not only are they World-Class performers, but they look damn good while they’re doing it!
